Playa La Madera Neighborhood Map

Here’s the 2021 Map of Playa La Madera bars and restaurants.

Numbers 1 through 7 are all located on the beach or the malecón running along the beach. Most of the beach bars and restaurants sell beers for 25 to 30 pesos each.

There are several places to get a massage along the beach and at the beach hotels, with the standard cost 300 pesos for one hour. I’ve put the TripAdvisor ratings for all restaurants that had one.

  1. La Tasca Bar and Tapas.  Fun atmosphere. Almost always busy.
  2. Restaurante La Tejita. TripAdvisor #75 / 248.
  3. La Terracita. TripAdvisor #3 / 248. This is a great breakfast-only restaurant. All of the seating is on the second and third floor, with great views of the Bay. They specialize in smoothies. A large smoothie will only set you back 35 pesos. Breakfast for two will cost about 250 pesos.
  4. Three Separate Beach Bars, names are not relevant.
  5. Restuarante Maderas. TripAdvisor #43 / 248
  6. Bistro del Mar. TripAdvisor #24 / 248. This is the nicest looking restaurant on the beach, and is part of Hotel Aura del Mar. All of the seating is just off the beach and under cover.
  7. La Rana Rene. This is more of a beach bar, but they do serve food and having seating on and off the beach.
