Matt and Ali: Ali is a native Washingtonian, and Matt grew up in Tennessee. Ali went to Washington State University and worked for the Lake Stevens School District for fifteen years. Matt spent ten years working for an arena management company in Everett, WA. Before that he spent time at an arena in Bakersfield, CA, with the Tampa Bay Lightning in Florida, and a minor league baseball team in Tennessee. We love to travel, and look forward to introducing more people to the wonderful people and town of Zihuatanejo. In 2016 we decided to buy a condo in Zihua. The following year Matt quit his job and sold a separate business, Ali quit her job and we moved to Zihua. In 2020 we purchased a house on Playa La Madera and spent a year and a half remodeling it. Ali volunteers at a local animal shelter and is dedicated to animal care, and loves to cook. Matt is a nonprofit consultant and also is the executive director of Global Impact Homes, a nonprofit focused on providing housing for those in need throughout the world.
